Best lunch ever

Jeremy made beef stew last night in his new slow cooker that he got as a Hanukkah present from my parents. IT IS AMAZING. So tender and delish! And yes - periodically throughout the night I’d wake up and smell the stew and seriously hope I’d be able to fall back asleep.

But whenever I smell a fire burning on a cold winter night in NYC, I think to myself “hmm, I wonder if this is (one of) the smells that was a staple years ago when fire was the main source of heat.” Then I kind of get into a daze and let the smell take me to another time.

Highlight of my night

Currently on the G train. There is a crazy drunk man preaching for the past 5 stops. Little boy decided to open his mouth and yell “Go away!!” Crazy guy asked him why he’s so angry. That five year old totally shut him up. Everyone on the train rejoiced.
